1. Participate in the overall architecture design of the Shenzhen National GeneBank HPC cluster, including the selection and configuration of servers, storage, networking, and other infrastructure components. Develop infrastructure expansion plans to ensure support for future business growth and technological requirements.
2. Responsible for the installation, configuration, and daily maintenance of compute nodes, storage systems, and network equipment within the HPC cluster.
3. Monitor performance metrics of storage systems, identify bottlenecks, and perform optimizations.
4. Provide technical support to HPC users, resolving issues encountered during usage.
5. Implement data backup and recovery strategies to ensure the security and integrity of critical data.
6. Conduct cluster usage training to help users better understand and utilize resources.
7. Other tasks assigned by leadership.
1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Preference will be given to candidates with data center management experience in universities or research institutions, as well as those with overseas study or work experience.
3. Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in HPC infrastructure management, with proficiency in the design, deployment, administration, and optimization of HPC clusters.
4. Familiarity with storage technologies and protocols in HPC environments (e.g., NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, RDMA).
5. In-depth understanding of mainstream distributed file systems (e.g., Lustre, GPFS, Ceph, GlusterFS). Relevant certifications (such as Lustre certification, IBM GPFS certification) are preferred.
6. Proficiency with mainstream HPC platforms and tools, such as SLURM, Torque, PBS, etc.
7. Ability to utilize monitoring tools (e.g., Ganglia, Prometheus, Grafana) for performance monitoring of HPC clusters.
8. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
9. Team-oriented with effective communication skills to collaborate with other teams and users.
10. Proficient in written English, with the ability to read and comprehend technical documentation. Preference will be given to candidates who can use English as a working language.
