1. Select Submission Category
On the “Data Submission” page, choose the target category (e.g., Cryo-EM data / Preprint / Biological Samples / Multi-omics Raw Data). You can also use the Recommended Tools feature to quickly find the tools you need.
2. Provide Submission Information
• Before submitting data, you need to register/log in and fill in submitter information.
• You can set data visibility (Public / Controlled / Private) at submission time and track review progress and receipts in the User Center.
3. Download Templates and Prepare Materials
Enter the corresponding submission interface to obtain and complete the metadata template; some submission types require ethics/informed consent documents, institutional approval, and necessary quality control reports.
4. Complete Metadata and Link Samples/Data
Fill in project/sample fields according to the template, upload the template file via the web page, and use a file manifest to upload batch data information.
5. Upload Files (Recommended Methods)
Use FTP or Aspera high-speed transfer to upload large/batch files. Verify MD5 checksums upon submission to ensure file integrity.
6. System Validation and Prompts
Before completion, the system automatically checks formats, verifies metadata completeness and compliance, and indicates any missing or incorrect items; please revise based on the prompts.
7. Submission Completed
• After data submission, the system automatically redirects to “My Submissions.”
• Following compliance checks and data quality control, a unique identifier will be assigned to the dataset.
Recommended Tools — Quickly obtain the tools and templates you need
Feature description: On the submission workflow page, enable the “Recommended Tools” input box or button and briefly describe your data type or processing requirements (e.g., “cryo-EM raw micrographs + half-maps + model,” “10x single-cell FASTQ files + cell metadata,” “preprint PDF + repository link”). The system will automatically recommend relevant tools and upload methods.
